Life on the streets is brutal, especially for animals without a voice. Among them was a black and white stray cat living beneath a house in California. Autumn’s condition wasn’t caused by trauma or spinal injury, as initially feared. Instead, X-rays revealed he had an obstructed bladder and urinary crystals a painful and dangerous condition that had caused his body to shut down mobility in his hindquarters.

Treatment That Changed Everything

Thanks to Dr. Hinz and the veterinary team, Autumn was immediately started on a customized treatment plan. He was placed on medication, had a catheter inserted, and was given a special urinary diet to help dissolve the bladder crystals. The team worked around the clock to stabilize his condition, offering him comfort and care for the first time in who knows how long.

Then, just a few days into treatment, something miraculous happened: Autumn stood up. He walked on all four paws as if to declare, “I’m not giving up.”

Healing at Kitty Bungalow

After his remarkable recovery, Autumn was taken in by Kitty Bungalow, a rescue group that specializes in helping street cats adjust to life in loving homes. He was enrolled in their “Charm School,” a program designed to help once-feral cats develop trust, confidence, and social skills.

Now, just over a year old, Autumn is thriving. He’s nearly ready for adoption, and his fee is only $35 a small price for a lifetime of love. His rescuers are optimistic that the right family will come along and give him the forever home he so deeply deserves.
